You must understand who you want to put your message in front of before you spend a dime on advertising. Here are some questions to help you uncover your ideal target audience.
- What is the ideal age range of the person most likely to use my product/service?
- Does my product/service appeal to a specific gender?
- Does my target audience live or work in a specific city, county, or zip code?
- What income level does someone need to have to purchase my product/service?
- Are there any lifestyle characteristics that makes someone need my product/service (ex: married, parents, homeowner, retired, outdoor enthusiasts)?
At the end of the day, identifying your IDEAL target audience is the start of all successful marketing campaigns.
